Our JKM Mission

The community intends to develop Quranic Madrasas and enhance the level of education for the residents of Nungwi Province and other areas.

At Jumuiya ya Kuendeleza Madrasa Jimbo la Nungwi (JKM), our mission is clear and unwavering: we are dedicated to the advancement of Quranic Madrasas and the elevation of educational standards for the communities of Nungwi Province and beyond. We are committed to working tirelessly to nurture and empower Madrasas, making them centers of excellence in religious education while concurrently fostering a broader culture of learning and knowledge within our society.

Our mission is not confined to just imparting religious knowledge but extends to raising the overall educational quality and access for all members of our community. Through innovative programs, support, and collaboration, we aim to ensure that education reaches every corner of Nungwi Province and other regions, thus contributing to the enlightenment and development of our society.

As our mission is to bring about a transformation in Islamic Madrasas in Zanzibar, this mission can be attained by:

Improving Educational Standards:We work closely with Madrasa administrators, teachers, and students to enhance the quality of education, ensuring that Islamic teachings are delivered effectively and comprehensively.

Modernizing Facilities: We believe that a conducive learning environment is essential for academic success. We aim to upgrade Madrasa facilities to create safe, comfortable, and well-equipped spaces for learning.

Promoting Inclusivity: We strive to create an inclusive environment where every student, regardless of their background, has access to quality Islamic education.

Introducing Contemporary Subjects: Recognizing the importance of a well-rounded education, we will introduce subjects such as mathematics, science, and languages alongside Islamic studies to prepare students for diverse career opportunities.

Empowering Teachers: We provide professional development opportunities for Madrasa teachers, equipping them with modern teaching techniques and resources to better engage students.
